<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: <\/span>Delhi govt is planning to launch a digital platform to bring together the entire medical and wellness tourism ecosystem of the capital.It will allow patients and their attendants from other states and abroad to access all services, including selecting hospitals, booking treatments, assistance with translation and post-treatment support, on a single interface.To operationalise the project, Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC), the nodal agency for the initiative, has floated a request for proposal to appoint a strategic partner to design, develop, operate and manage the Delhi Medical and Wellness Tourism (DMWT) platform and the broader medical tourism ecosystem across the city.A senior official said that the selected agency will be responsible for creating the entire digital ecosystem at its own cost. This will include a web portal, dedicated mobile applications for patients and healthcare providers, and an administrative dashboard for Delhi govt and empanelled stakeholders to monitor and manage all services. It will also facilitate patient registration, passport and medical visa verification, digital payments, real-time patient tracking, multilingual assistance, grievance redressal and post-treatment follow-up services, he said.The request for proposal lays down a phased implementation schedule. The selected partner will have to establish a project office in Delhi within 30 days of the contract becoming effective and submit a detailed project report along with an implementation plan within 60 days. The initial version of the platform is expected to be launched within four months.Within six months, the first phase of empanelment is to be completed, bringing at least five Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited hospitals, 25 National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH)-accredited or equivalent hospitals, 15 AYUSH centres, doctors, diagnostic laboratories and 30 ground-service providers, including transport operators, hotels and concierge services, onto the platform. Standardised treatment packages with transparent pricing will be displayed, enabling patients to compare healthcare options before proceeding with bookings.Delhi\u2019s super-speciality hospitals, advanced healthcare infrastructure and internationally recognised doctors attract thousands of domestic and overseas patients every year. Delhi govt expects the integrated platform to simplify access to treatment, improve coordination among service providers and strengthen the capital\u2019s position as a preferred destination for medical and wellness tourism.<\/div>\n
