Eligible candidates who have not yet applied can complete their registration through the official SBI careers portal before the last date, July 8, 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"2\"\/>Through this recruitment drive, SBI aims to fill 1,500 Probationary Officer vacancies across the country. These include 1,446 regular vacancies and 54 backlog vacancies. The bank has also stated that the number of vacancies is provisional and may change depending on its requirements.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>SBI PO recruitment 2026: Eligibility<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/>Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or possess an equivalent qualification recognised by the Central Government.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>Students in the final year or final semester of graduation are also eligible to apply, provided they produce proof of passing the qualifying examination on or before September 30, 2026, if shortlisted for the interview.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>Applicants should be between 21 and 30 years of age as on April 1, 2026. Age relaxation for reserved category candidates will be provided according to government rules.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Application fee<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>Candidates belonging to the Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 750.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>Candidates from the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories are exempted from paying the application fee.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Selection process<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>The recruitment process will be conducted in three stages:<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo modify_cdata_list_style id-r-component \" data-pos=\"27\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Phase 1:<\/strong> Online Preliminary Examination<\/li>\n<li><strong>Phase 2: <\/strong>Online Main Examination<\/li>\n<li><strong>Phase 3: <\/strong>Psychometric Test, Group Exercise and Personal Interview<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>The preliminary examination is scheduled to be held in August 2026, while the main examination is expected in September 2026. The final stage of selection is likely to take place during October and November 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"31\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Salary<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"33\"\/>Selected candidates will join SBI as Probationary Officers in Junior Management Grade Scale-I.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"35\"\/>The starting basic pay is Rs 48,480, while the approximate Cost to Company (CTC) at the Mumbai centre is around Rs 21.97 lakh per year.
