He then took their three-year-old daughter to his mother\u2019s rented accommodation in Kotla Vihar Phase-I, located about 150 yards from his own rented room, where he reportedly confessed to his sister Priya that he had killed his wife and consumed poison, police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/>They said Priya rushed to the couple\u2019s room, found Nisha lying in a pool of blood, and alerted neighbours, who then informed the police.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>Vinay was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>The incident came to light on July 2 when police received a PCR call reporting an attempted murder in Tilangpur Kotla village in Outer Delhi.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>Police said post-mortem examinations of both the deceased have been conducted and the bodies handed over to their family for the last rites.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>Police said that after finding Nisha critically injured with severe head wounds, they rushed her to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>According to news agency PTI, preliminary investigation revealed that Nisha had been married to Vinay for five years.
