Although players waited until the cut-off time for a possible five-over contest, the rain did not ease and the umpires eventually abandoned the match.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"51\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>India&#8217;s batters shine<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"53\"\/>Despite losing Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan inside the first two overs, India recovered through an aggressive partnership between Abhishek Sharma and captain Shreyas Iyer.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"56\"\/>Abhishek smashed 59 off just 24 balls, becoming the fastest Indian to score a T20I fifty in England.
