<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: Doctors working under Delhi National Health Mission (NHM) held a one-day token strike Friday, demanding implementation of 7th Pay Commission<\/a>, salary revisions and employee welfare measures.In a letter to Delhi State Health Mission, Health Mission Doctors\u2019 Welfare Association said repeated administrative delays had stalled the pay revision file despite it being forwarded for the cabinet approval. Among the welfare demands were DGEHS health cards, stronger job security and retirement benefits for NHM staff.\u201cOver 200 doctors, MBBS and specialists have been working for 18 years all over Delhi with a consolidated salary, no perks, no insurance, no scope of regularisation and no retirement benefits,\u201d said a protester working in one of the leading Delhi govt hospitals.The existing salary cap, the association alleged, has resulted in a 15-20% loss in earnings for a section of employees. It also expressed concerns over recent terminations of long-serving staff without a fair inquiry process.The association said it had informed several authorities, including chief minister and health minister, about the strike and warned that if its demands remained unaddressed, the token strike could be followed by a larger agitation.Delhi govt didn\u2019t comment on the issue.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
