The said incident has once again raised concerns over women\u2019s safety on trains and prompted a response from the Railways.In her post on X, Dixit said the incident occurred while she was standing near the coach door during her journey on train number 15228 (SMVT Express). In her post, she claimed the man was travelling in the second general coach from the engine, making obscene gestures in her direction.She said the incident took place while the train was travelling between Bolpur Junction and Dankuni.The post, which tagged RailMadad, the ministry of railways, Railway Seva and the Railway Protection Force (RPF), quickly drew widespread attention online, with several users expressing outrage and calling for strict action.One user commented, \u201cThis is exactly why most women don\u2019t report these things. Instead of focusing on the man\u2019s disgusting behaviour, people are busy questioning the woman. The harassment is the problem.\u201dAnother wrote, \u201cPeople like this make it hard for women to feel safe. The worst part is that offenders often get away without consequences.\u201dResponding to the complaint, the RPF asked the passenger to share journey details such as the PNR or UTS number and a mobile contact number via direct message for \u201cspeedy redressal\u201d.The Railways also advised her to formally raise the issue through the RailMadad portal or by calling the 139 helpline to enable immediate assistance.Railway officials have repeatedly urged passengers to report incidents of harassment or misconduct promptly, stating that timely sharing of journey and location details helps security personnel identify the coach and intervene quickly.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
