The accused has since been line attached pending investigation, sources said on Tuesday.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>The FIR was registered at Burari police station on the woman&#8217;s complaint after the court ordered police to initiate criminal proceedings.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>According to the complaint, the accused was in a live-in relationship with the woman and allegedly established physical relations with her repeatedly after promising to marry her, later refusing to do so.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/>Sources said both the complainant and the accused are married but were living separately from their respective families at the time of the alleged incident.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>The woman subsequently approached the court, seeking action against the police personnel.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>Acting on the court&#8217;s directions, Burari police registered an FIR in the matter.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>Following the registration of the case, the head constable has been &#8220;line attached&#8221;, sources said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"19\"\/>Further investigation is underway.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>(With PTI inputs)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/city\/delhi\/delhi-police-head-constable-booked-for-rape-on-marriage-pretext-court-orders-fir\/articleshow\/132097891.cms\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Delhi Police head constable faces charges of rape after a court ordered an FIR (Representative image) NEW DELHI: A Delhi Police head constable has been booked on charges of allegedly raping a woman on the pretext of marriage after a city court directed the registration of an FIR.
