<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: <\/span>Chief minister Rekha Gupta Sunday joined volunteers in Yamuna cleaning campaign at Chilla village Ghat and said the rejuvenation of the river is a shared responsibility of Delhiites.Young people, volunteers, social organisations and residents participated in the \u2018Clean Delhi with CM\u2019 campaign, according to a statement issued by chief minister\u2019s office.\u201cYamuna is not merely a river but Delhi\u2019s memory, culture and lifeline. Keeping it clean, pure and free-flowing is not just the responsibility of govt, but the shared responsibility of every citizen,\u201d CM Gupta said.Delhi govt is continuously working towards the scientific, sustainable and comprehensive rejuvenation of Yamuna, CM said.Govt is modernising sewage treatment plants, setting up new decentralised units, expanding the sewer network and tapping all drains flowing into the river, she further said, adding that no untreated drain would flow directly into Yamuna in the future.CM Gupta said dedicated collection centres were being set up across parts of the city for respectful disposal of puja materials and damaged idols. These materials will then undergo scientific and systematic recycling and waste management.She announced that Delhi govt will organise public campaigns every Sunday, including cleanliness drives, Yamuna cleaning campaigns and tree plantation programmes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
