New Delhi:<\/span> A moving car caught fire on Mayur Vihar flyover in east Delhi<\/a> Sunday afternoon, but the two occupants inside it escaped unharmed after getting out moments before the vehicle was engulfed in flames.According to Delhi Fire Services (DFS), a call about the blaze was received at 2.06pm, following which one fire tender and a team of around six firefighters were rushed to the spot. The team brought the fire under control by 2.20pm. No injuries or casualties were reported.Earlier in May, another moving car caught fire near Bhajanpura metro station in northeast Delhi. In that case too, all occupants escaped safely before the vehicle was caught up in flames.Fire officials said vehicle fires are commonly caused by electrical short circuits, overheated engines, fuel or engine oil leaks, poor maintenance and unauthorised electrical modifications such as heavy music systems. They advised motorists to service vehicles regularly and avoid storing inflammable items, including power banks, perfume cans and lighters inside vehicles during extreme heat, as high temperatures can increase the risk of fire.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
