Drawing on more than 1,000 interviews conducted between the spring of 2023 and the spring of this year, the book paints a picture of executive assistant Natalie Harp as a trusted confidante with extraordinary access to the president.According to the authors, Harp regularly left what they describe as “adoring letters” for Trump in his “personal spaces”. One such note reportedly read, “you are all that matters to me.”The gesture is said to have left Trump’s future 2024 campaign manager and current White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles bewildered. The book also claims Trump often spoke of Harp’s unwavering loyalty.“All of you will go off and make money,” Trump was known to say. “She\u2019ll never leave me.”According to the authors, Trump affectionately referred to her as “Nathalie”, using the French pronunciation of her name, and would remark that she was the “only one who loved him as much as his wife and kids.”Harp, now in her early thirties, previously worked as a television presenter for Fox News and the conservative network One America News Network before joining Trump’s inner circle during the period after he left office in 2021. Much of that time was spent at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.The book describes Harp as a constant presence, even accompanying Trump on golf outings. She allegedly kept him supplied with favourable news coverage and supportive social media posts, reading them aloud before handing him printed copies produced from a portable printer she carried with her.Haberman and Swan also write that Harp was the aide who showed Trump footage of the killing of political ally and conservative commentator Charlie Kirk in September 2025.Another episode described in the book dates to March 2025, when Trump reportedly became dissatisfied with official figures presented by his economic advisers regarding tariffs imposed by countries including China and India on US exports.According to the authors, Trump summoned Harp, telling her to “do your Google, do your computer thing” to obtain what he called the “real numbers”, despite Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and other officials already presenting accurate data.<\/div>\n
