<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi:<\/span> The new 3.9km Kalindi Kunj-Tughlaqabad corridor, an extension of Golden Line, will connect the Magenta and Violet lines and strengthen connectivity along the Yamuna riverfront — Noida to Faridabad<\/a> via Delhi.Of the four stations on this corridor, three will be elevated — Sarita Vihar Depot, Madanpur Khadar and Kalindi Kunj — while Tughlaqabad will be an underground station. Of these, Kalindi Kunj will turn into an interchange station connecting the Golden and Magenta lines. Tughlaqabad will be another interchange station linking the Golden and Violet lines.\u201cThis new corridor will strengthen the Yamuna riverfront connectivity and ensure the Noida-Faridabad connectivity via Delhi,\u201d said a senior official of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). He added that it would strengthen integration with the existing metro corridors.Magenta Line currently runs from Botanical Garden in Noida to Krishna Park Extension and another stretch from Deepali Chowk to Majlis Park. While Violet Line is operational from Kashmere Gate to Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabgarh) in Haryana. The 8.4km-long new corridor of Golden Line from Lajpat Nagar to Saket G block is under construction. Another corridor of Golden Line, from Aerocity to IGI Airport<\/a> Terminal 1, has been approved.\u201cThis corridor will boost connectivity for residential clusters and emerging industrial pockets in southeast Delhi. It will create direct access to residential areas like Saket and Chhatarpur and will link Noida and Faridabad along with south and west Delhi,\u201d said the official. \u201cSince this corridor is an extension of the Aerocity-Tughlaqabad corridor, it will link domestic and international terminals of IGI Airport,\u201d he added.The corridor will reduce road congestion and emission on the Noida-Faridabad link and on roads connecting to the airport, he pointed out.The Kalindi Kunj-Tughlaqabad corridor, an expansion of DMRC\u2019s Phase V(A), is expected to be ready by late 2028. The two other approved corridors are Tughlaqabad to Kalindi Kunj, an extension of Golden Line, and RK Ashram Marg to Indraprastha (Central Vista corridor), an extension of Magenta Line.DMRC is currently constructing five corridors as part of its Phase IV expansion. This includes Krishna Park Extension to Deepali Chowk and Indderlok to Indraprastha, which are extensions of Magenta Line. The construction of two corridors of Golden Line is underway while Rithala-Kundli, extension of Red Line, is also progressing.DMRC\u2019s total network is now 416km with 303 stations, including the Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line and Gurgaon Rapid Metro.<\/div>\n
