Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds reaching 40-50 kmph are also likely during the day.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h3>State-wise forecast<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p>Severe heatwave conditions are likely to persist at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"25\"\/>Bihar is likely to receive heavy rainfall at isolated places, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds. Odisha may witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>Across the Northeast, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall, while Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura are expected to receive heavy rain at isolated places. Extremely heavy rainfall is also likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/>Himachal Pradesh is likely to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds. According to the IMD, conditions remain favourable for its advance into more parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, the remaining parts of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Bihar, besides some parts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"39\"\/>The IMD has advised people in areas likely to receive heavy rainfall to check traffic conditions before travelling, avoid waterlogged locations and vulnerable structures, and follow local advisories.
