<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nHINGOLI: An 18-year-old student from Maharashtra’s Hingoli, who recently appeared for the NEET-UG re-examination, allegedly died by suicide after recording a video message for his mother on his mobile phone, officials said on Thursday.Police have launched an investigation to determine whether the student’s death was linked to the national-level medical entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency<\/a> (NTA), following claims by his family that he found the re-test difficult, accordingto news agency PTI.The deceased, identified as Sushil Dhage, a resident of Ashtavinayak Nagar in Hingoli city, allegedly jumped into a well around 10.30 am on Wednesday, an official told reporters.Before taking the extreme step, Sushil recorded a 33-second video in which he apologised to his mother.\u201cI am going to commit suicide, and you (mother) should not take tension. In my next life, I want to be born as your child. Be with Sumedh. I am sorry.\u2019\u2019 the official said, quoting the message by Dhage in the clip.According to police, Dhage’s family told investigators that he had found the NEET re-examination paper difficult. An accidental death report has been registered for now.\u201cThe family’s complaint talks about the NEET re-examination. We are investigating the case and examining whether there is any connection between the examination and the incident,\u201d an official from the Hingoli City police station said.The NEET re-examination was conducted by the NTA on June 21 after the cancellation of the earlier May 3 exam amid an ongoing probe into an alleged question paper leak.
