<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nIIMT University has achieved a major global milestone by securing a position in the 301\u2013400 band worldwide in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2026 in its very first attempt.Among the 110 ranked institutions from India, the university secured the 18th position, establishing itself among the country\u2019s leading higher education institutions. Globally, only 1,603 universities were included in the overall rankings this year, with IIMT University entering the top quartile (top 25%) in its debut appearance.Expressing happiness over the achievement, IIMT University Chancellor Yogesh Mohan Gupta said the recognition reflects the institution\u2019s commitment towards sustainable development, social responsibility, innovation and quality education. He said the university has been consistently working in areas such as environmental protection, water conservation, community development and research aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).The university performed strongly across several SDG categories. Under SDG-14 (Life Below Water), IIMT secured a place in the global 101\u2013200 band, emerging among India\u2019s leading institutions for initiatives related to water conservation, protection of aquatic ecosystems and sustainable waste management.It also ranked among top Indian institutions under SDG-15 (Life on Land) for its efforts in biodiversity conservation, green campus initiatives and environmental protection. Under SDG-6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), the university again secured a global 101\u2013200 band for its work in community water access, conservation and sanitation programmes.A key highlight was that IIMT University was assessed across all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Only around 23% of ranked institutions globally and nearly 15% of ranked Indian institutions participated across all SDGs.The university has previously received NAAC A Grade accreditation, QS I-GAUGE rating and recognition from the Ministry of Education\u2019s Institution\u2019s Innovation Council. It offers programmes in engineering, management, law, pharmacy, science, humanities and other disciplines, while promoting research, entrepreneurship and innovation through incubation centres and industry-oriented initiatives.University officials said insights from THE Impact Rankings 2026 will be used to strengthen future research, innovation projects, community programmes and sustainability-driven initiatives.<\/div>\n
