As per a fresh notice issued on June 22, 2026, candidates can now submit or modify their preferences till June 25, 2026, at 11:59 PM.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"4\"\/>The commission said that the process and submission method will remain the same as mentioned in the earlier notice issued on June 19, 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/>In the latest notice, SSC informed candidates that the option-cum-preference window, which was earlier scheduled to close on June 23, has been extended by two more days.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/>Candidates who have not yet submitted their preferences or wish to make changes can do so through the official SSC portal before the revised deadline.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Why is option-cum-preference important?<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/>SSC has clearly stated that candidates must submit their option-cum-preference form within the prescribed period.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>Candidates who fail to submit their preferences will not be considered for any post during the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) or final selection process.
