Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) portal from today, June 22, 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"2\"\/>According to the official notification, a total of 1,421 vacancies have been announced under the General Karnataka division, while 179 posts are available under the Kalyana Karnataka division.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/>Candidates can submit their application forms through the official website before the last date, July 22, 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2><keyword id=\"37102334\" type=\"General\" weightage=\"20\" keywordseo=\"Karnataka-Police-recruitment-2026\" source=\"Orion\">Karnataka Police recruitment 2026<\/keyword>: Vacancy overview<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/>A total of 1,600 Armed Police Constable vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo modify_cdata_list_style id-r-component \" data-pos=\"12\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>General Karnataka Division: <\/strong>1,421 posts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kalyana Karnataka Division: <\/strong>179 posts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"15\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Eligibility criteria<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>Candidates who have passed the Pre-University Course (PUC), Class 12, or an equivalent examination from a recognised board or institution are eligible to apply.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"21\"\/>Applicants must possess the qualifying examination marks card on or before the last date of application submission. Candidates who are awaiting their Class 12 or equivalent results are not eligible to apply.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"23\"\/>Apart from educational qualifications, candidates must have studied Kannada as a first or second language at the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) level or should have passed the Kannada language examination conducted by KEA.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Age limit<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>The minimum age required is 18 years, while the maximum age limit is 33 years as on July 22, 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/>The state government has also announced a one-time relaxation of five years in the upper age limit for eligible candidates.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"32\"\/>Ex-servicemen will receive an additional relaxation of three years over and above the length of their military service.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"34\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Reservation for ex-servicemen<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"36\"\/>As per government rules, 10 per cent of the vacancies are reserved for ex-servicemen under direct recruitment.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"39\"\/>The benefit is also available to eligible dependent family members of ex-servicemen who died while in service or became permanently disabled during service.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"41\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Application fee<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"43\"\/>Candidates belonging to the General category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 500.
