Along with the updated results, the board has also issued a detailed clarification document to answer common questions raised by students and parents.Students who applied for verification or re-evaluation can now check their updated results through DigiLocker. The board has said that most revised marksheets were uploaded on June 21, while the remaining cases will be updated shortly.

Where to check CBSE Class 12 revised results 2026

Candidates can access their revised results and updated marksheets through the DigiLocker result portal. The revised marksheets are being uploaded in phases. Students whose marks have changed after re-evaluation will receive updated digital marksheets on the platform.

What if marks remain unchanged after re-evaluation?

CBSE has clarified that re-evaluation and verification are review processes and do not automatically lead to an increase in marks. Depending on the findings, marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged.Students who applied for verification of issues observed and received a “no change” result will be given an opportunity to inspect their answer books at the concerned CBSE Regional Office. The schedule for this process will be announced soon.

Does a change in marks mean there was an error in evaluation?

According to CBSE, not necessarily. The board stated that changes in marks after re-evaluation are a normal part of the review process and happen every year. The purpose of re-evaluation is to ensure that answers have been assessed according to the prescribed marking scheme and that any genuine discrepancies are corrected.

Difference between verification of issues observed and re-evaluation

CBSE has explained that both processes serve different purposes.Verification of issues observed allows students to report physical or procedural issues in the scanned answer book. These may include:

Missing pages

Missing supplementary answer sheets

Missing maps or graphs

Blurred pages

Answer books belonging to another candidate

Evaluation using the wrong marking scheme

Re-evaluation, on the other hand, allows students to request fresh evaluation of specific questions after obtaining a scanned copy of their answer book. Both facilities can be used for one or more subjects.

How CBSE ensured a fair review process

The board said that the entire process was conducted with utmost care and transparency.Experts from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur were involved in monitoring the process. Every answer book submitted for re-evaluation was checked by two evaluators. Officials from CBSE headquarters and regional offices were also deputed to oversee the review process. The board added that all complaints regarding missing pages, blurred copies and related issues were thoroughly examined.

Reduced fees for students

CBSE has significantly reduced the charges for the review process. The fee for obtaining scanned copies of answer books has been reduced from Rs 700 to Rs 100. The fee for verification of issues observed has been reduced from Rs 500 to Rs 100, while the re-evaluation fee has been reduced from Rs 100 to Rs 25 per question.

Refund policy explained

Students who made duplicate or excess payments will receive refunds directly in their source accounts.CBSE has also announced that candidates whose marks increase after re-evaluation will receive a refund of the re-evaluation fee paid by them.

What if updated marks are not visible on DigiLocker?

The board said that DigiLocker results are currently being updated under three categories:

Changes updated

No change

Under process

Students who are facing login-related issues are advised to carefully enter their credentials and try again after some time if the problem continues.CBSE helpline for studentsTo support students dealing with examination and result-related stress, CBSE has made available a free 24×7 tele-helpline service at 1800-11-8004.The board has also advised parents to encourage students and help them focus on future opportunities.

Source link

CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation result 2026 The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the revised Class 12 results after completing the verification of issues observed and re-evaluation process.
