The win sent the Pharaohs to the top of the group standings, although qualification for the knockout stage is still not guaranteed.Egypt will now face Iran in a crucial final group match in Seattle, needing at least a draw to progress further in the tournament.<\/p>\n

Zico then turned provider for Salah\u2019s winner, capping a decisive second-half surge.Trezeguet sealed the victory in the 82nd minute with a diving header, ensuring Egypt would not be denied their historic moment.<\/p>\n

Group G race wide open

With the win, Egypt move into a strong position in Group G but remain under pressure heading into their final group fixture against Iran. New Zealand, meanwhile, remain winless in the tournament and will face Belgium next in Vancouver.Elsewhere in the group, Belgium and Iran played out a goalless draw, leaving the qualification race finely poised as the final round of matches approaches.<\/div>\n
