<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi:<\/span> Kicking off preparations for the upcoming Kanwar Yatra and Independence Day<\/a> celebrations, senior police officers from Delhi, Ghaziabad and Noida held an inter-state coordination meeting to fine-tune security, traffic and law-and-order arrangements.The meeting brought together senior officers from Delhi Police<\/a> including Joint Commissioner of Police (Eastern Range) Ajit Kumar Singla, Ghaziabad Police, Noida Police and traffic units to review preparedness for the two major events that will witness large public gatherings and heightened security requirements.Last year, Delhi Police had deployed more than 5,000 personnel along with around 50 companies of paramilitary forces amounting to over 10,000 security personnel in total for Kanwar Yatra.The meeting focused on ensuring the smooth movement of pilgrims while minimising disruption to traffic. Detailed deliberations were held on traffic diversions, border management, deployment at sensitive locations, surveillance measures, intelligence sharing and emergency response mechanisms. Officers also reviewed plans for maintaining law and order and ensuring coordination between agencies across state borders during the pilgrimage.Preparations for Independence Day celebrations were also reviewed during the meeting. Officials discussed security arrangements at important installations, government buildings, public places, border areas and venues that will host national celebrations.Special emphasis was laid on anti-sabotage measures, access control, intensified patrolling, verification drives and enhanced surveillance of sensitive locations.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
