The Los Angeles City Council has officially adopted a civic resolution declaring January 6, 2027, as ‘Diljit Dosanjh Day’.”In the same post, he further wrote, “Introduced by Councilwoman Monica Rodriguez, the resolution honours the Indian-born singer, actor, and producer for his significant contributions to globalising Punjabi music and promoting South Asian representation in mainstream American culture.”The video showed Diljit receiving a framed resolution during a private gathering. Dressed in a white kurta and pink salwar paired with his signature turban, the singer appeared visibly moved and folded his hands in gratitude as he accepted the honour.
