The probe was later transferred to the Crime Branch.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>Police alleged that <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/jaswant-singh\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\">Jaswant Singh<\/a> conspired with two associates, <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/shamsher-singh\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\">Shamsher Singh<\/a> and Gurpinder Singh, to execute the extortion bid. Investigators said he provided a mobile phone and SIM card allegedly used to send the threats.
