Ranchi: <\/span>Health minister Irfan Ansari announced that all sadar hospitals across the state will soon get dedicated ambulances, ensuring that critically ill patients receive timely and prompt medical assistance.Following a departmental review meeting with all civil surgeons in the state on Friday, Ansari said that each sadar and referral hospitals across Jharkhand will soon get four dedicated ambulances.\u201cCurrently, the sadar and referral hospitals in the state do not have functional ambulances and are dependent on 108 ambulance services. The civil surgeons informed me that ambulances are in a dilapidated state. I sought a detailed report of ambulances lying defunct at the hospitals by Monday,\u201d Ansari added.He further said that the department is soon going to purchase over 200 advanced new ambulances and those will be allotted to sadar and referral hospitals in the state.Currently, Jharkhand has 500 ambulances operating under the 108 services. However, many of them have travelled several kilometers, creating inconvenience for patients in emergency situations across the state.Notably, chief minister Hemant Soren<\/a> on June 2, expressing concern over ambulance services in the state, ordered to establish an AI-based control room for real time monitoring and accountability.During the Friday review meeting, health minister Ansari also directed the civil surgeons to address all lacunae in the health sector in their respective districts, ensuring substantial and visible improvements within the next 15 days. The minister instructed officials to coordinate with local MLAs and public representatives to resolve any obstacles hindering improvements in the healthcare system.Ansari also directed all civil surgeons to reside within the sadar hospital premises and remain readily available during emergencies.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
