<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: <\/span>Police have arrested two men for allegedly duping job seekers on the pretext of securing employment with reputed multinational companies abroad.The accused, Kush Bhatnagar, 22, and Amit<\/a>, 23, both residents of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh<\/a>, were arrested following a complaint by a woman who alleged she was cheated of Rs 1.6 lakh on the promise of a job overseas.An FIR was registered at the cyber police station. DCP (East) Rajeev Kumar said, \u201cThe accused posed as recruitment consultants and representatives of reputed multinational companies, convincing victims they had been shortlisted for lucrative overseas jobs. They then demanded payments under the guise of documentation, verification, attestation, embassy clearance and visa processing.\u201dDuring the investigation, police tracked the flow of the cheated money through multiple bank accounts. Financial analysis showed that funds from the complainant were transferred to an account linked to Bhatnagar, with a portion routed through Amit\u2019s account, which was used for withdrawals and further transfers.A police team travelled to Bareilly and conducted an investigation based on bank records, digital evidence and money-trail analysis before arresting the duo.Police said the syndicate sourced data of job seekers from online employment portals and other channels, sending fraudulent recruitment emails claiming their CVs had been shortlisted for overseas roles.Mobile phones, SIM cards, recruitment-related email accounts and other digital evidence allegedly used in the fraud were seized during the operation.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
