<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi:<\/span> In a bid to improve connectivity to the Noida International Airport at Jewar, Delhi govt is planning a direct air-conditioned bus service, while the Centre is working on a series of road infrastructure projects across the National Capital Region (NCR).Senior officials said the proposed Delhi-Jewar bus route is among several new interstate corridors being planned by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) to strengthen regional public transport and improve access to the airport.The service is expected to run 12-metre air-conditioned buses and offer a direct travel option for passengers heading to the airport. Authorities said the route is also likely to benefit commuters travelling between Delhi and key towns in Haryana and Rajasthan, offering more convenient travel options for NCR residents.According to DTC officials, route planning has been carried out after assessing passenger demand, traffic patterns and regional connectivity requirements. \u201cThe objective is to improve service frequency, reduce travel time and strengthen last-mile connectivity for commuters,\u201d an official said, adding that the service is likely to start in the next two months.The Delhi-Jewar route is part of a broader interstate connectivity expansion planned by the transport corporation. Other proposed corridors include Delhi-Rewari, Delhi-Karnal, Delhi-Rohtak, Delhi-Alwar and a service connecting Nanaksar in Delhi with the Ghaziabad bus terminal.Alongside the proposed bus services, the Centre is also working on several road projects aimed at easing congestion and improving access to the airport region.Union minister of state for road transport and highways Harsh Malhotra said the Centre and Delhi govt are coordinating efforts to make Delhi largely congestion-free.Projects under discussion include an elevated corridor connecting Sarai Kale Khan and Sohna, another elevated route linking Faridabad with Jewar, and a Rs 650-crore elevated road through Kalindi Kunj.The Kalindi Kunj project is expected to improve movement between Delhi, Noida and Faridabad. Officials said the elevated road could make travel across the three cities largely signal-free, reducing bottlenecks and travel time.With the airport already operational and serving passengers from across the NCR, seamless connectivity remains key, a senior official said. The proposed bus services and road corridors are expected to provide faster, more affordable and efficient travel options while supporting the region\u2019s growing transport needs, he added.<\/div>\n
