<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nLucknow:<\/span> The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has rolled out Rs 463 crore worth of drainage projects to curb monsoon waterlogging.The plan focuses on new and upgraded drains, expansion of stormwater networks and installation of flood pumping stations.The biggest component is a Rs 300-crore Urban Flood and Storm Water Scheme project, aimed at providing relief to low-lying areas such as Aashiana, LDA Colony, Telibagh, Mansarovar, Alambagh, Krishnanagar and Rajnikhand.Under the Infrastructure Fund, 63 drains worth Rs 58.15 crore are being built or revamped; 36 are complete while the rest are underway. To boost emergency response, LMC is also spending nearly Rs 10 crore on strengthening pumping capacity, including a new station near the zoo and a pump at Mallahi Tola. Backup DG sets have been installed to ensure operations during power cuts.Seven more pumping stations worth Rs 56 crore have been approved, with tenders in process. Desilting of over 1,200 drains is also underway as part of monsoon preparedness.Municipal commissioner Gaurav Kumar<\/a> said the projects will significantly reduce waterlogging in vulnerable areas.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
