<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi:<\/span> Two constables have been given out-of-turn promotions for rescuing people trapped under a collapsed building in south Delhi\u2019s Saidulajab. In a separate recognition, eight police personnel received the Asadharan Karya Puraskar (AKP) for their role during the B&B fire in Hauz Rani that claimed 23 lives.Delhi Police<\/a> commissioner Satish Golchha promoted constables Angad Singh Meena and Manish Kumar of Mehrauli police station to head constables. Special CP Neeraj Thakur was present at the ceremony.The awards recognised their actions during the May 30 building collapse. \u201cAt great personal risk, both personnel entered deep into the debris and rescued trapped persons, besides aiding evacuation efforts, helping save several lives,\u201d police said.The commissioner also conferred the AKP, along with a cash reward of Rs 50,000 each, on eight personnel from Malviya Nagar police station for their response to the June 3 fire.\u201cDespite the intensity of the blaze, the prompt response of Delhi Police personnel, in coordination with fire services, led to the rescue of multiple occupants, including foreign nationals,\u201d police said.The awardees included sub-inspector Ram Kishan; head constables Kartar, Hargyan, Dinesh Kumar and Sampat; and constables Surender, Ravi Kant and Sanjay.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
