<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nLucknow:<\/span> A goof-up by Lucknow University<\/a> (LU) authorities during the ongoing law examination on Friday left the students confused and concerned.The question paper for the \u201cLaw of Torts\u201d exam distributed among students carried a maximum of 90 marks instead of 75 as per the new pattern introduced under the New Education Policy (NEP).Varsity officials later said the \u201cerror\u201d occurred because the question papers were printed before the adoption of the new policy and assured that the evaluation will be based on 75 marks.On June 1, LU revised its evaluation pattern for LLB 3- and 5-year programmes in compliance with new rules of Bar Council of India and norms recommended in NEP.According to the new norms, the performance of the students will be assessed in a 75:25 ratio. This means 75% weightage will be given to written theory examination and 25% for the internal assessment based on assignments, projects and attendance, among other things. Earlier, this ratio was 90:10.LU controller of examination Vidyanand Tripathi said: \u201cThe evaluation of the answer sheets will be done on the basis of the new rules. All the professors in LU and its affiliated colleges have been informed regarding this.\u201dHowever, this could not satisfy the students.A student, Rahul Yadav<\/a>, said NEP rules were announced but not followed properly.Another student, Priya Singh, said if the exam is set for 90 marks, it becomes unclear how it will be assessed under the 75-mark NEP pattern.Another student, Vishwa Mohan, said: \u201cIf the evaluation rules were already changed, why was the paper not reprinted? We wrote a 90-mark paper and now it is being evaluated on a 75-mark NEP pattern.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
