<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\nThiruvananthapuram<\/span>: <\/span>CPM<\/a> has rejected the media reports that the party\u2019s state secretariat and state committee were divided over the election review.The CPM state secretariat said in a statement that the review report it had prepared was unanimously approved by the state committee and added that the reports in a section of media questioning the same were aimed at covering up the UDF govt\u2019s administrative lapses.The secretariat said the reporting of the state committee-approved review report to district committees was over and to area committees has begun. The secretariat also rubbished the earlier reports by a section of media that there was voting in the CPM politburo over the selection of Pinarayi Vijayan<\/a> as opposition leader.\u201cThere was no difference of opinion in the state committee over the findings in the review report. The reports claiming otherwise were false. Also, extended state committee, district committees and area committees are being convened in Aug to analyse the organisational weakness and decide on the rectification drive. Alleging additional motives to the same would be contrary to facts,\u201d the secretariat said.There were also attempts by some media to spread false stories regarding the candidate selection in Taliparamba constituency. The Kannur district committee and the state committee examined the matter and clarified the decisions through the media itself. Even so, some are coming out with fresh fabricated tales, the statement said.\u201cThose who left the party and contested based on vested interests are also spreading fabricated stories under the pretence of \u201csaving\u201d the party. People who quit the party during the election phase out of power ambitions and joined the UDF are now coming forward with false narratives to justify their mistakes,\u2019\u2019 the statement said.At a time when the UDF\u2019s hypocrisy \u2014 after appearing before the public with empty promises to win votes \u2014 has been exposed, right-wing media have taken aim at CPM to cover it up. Promises such as a \u20b921,000 honorarium for ASHAs in the first cabinet and free travel for women across KSRTC by June 15 have been violated. Those who opposed the PM SHRI scheme are now ready to sign on to it, it said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
