BENGALURU: Byju Raveendran secured a temporary reprieve after the Singapore High Court stayed key provisions of an earlier order sentencing him to six months in prison for civil contempt.In a statement on Friday, his legal counsel, Lazareff Le Bars, said the General Division of the Singapore High Court stayed the committal and surrender provisions of the May 25 contempt order on June 10. As a result, Raveendran will not be required to surrender on June 15 as previously directed.The law firm also said it filed an appeal against the contempt ruling.The stay marks the latest development in a long-running cross-border legal battle involving the Byju\u2019s founder, lenders and investors.Last month, the Singapore court sentenced Raveendran to six months in jail for contempt arising from alleged non-compliance with asset disclosure orders. The ruling became a flashpoint in an ongoing dispute between Raveendran and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), one of the investors in Byju\u2019s.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
