The unmanned aerial vehicle returned towards Pakistan-occupied Kashmir after some time, officials said.\u201cAround 10pm, alert personnel spotted the drone above some forward Indian posts along the LoC in the Area of Responsibility of the Army\u2019s 22 JAK Rifles in Pajani area, in Balakote of Mendhar sector,\u201d an official said Tuesday.Troops fired around nine rounds at the UAV but failed to hit the target as the drone was moving at a considerable height. It later returned to the PoK side.\u201cSecurity forces launched a search operation early Tuesday to establish whether the drone had air-dropped any suspicious consignments during its flight over the area.
