According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum temperature is expected to remain between 42\u00b0C and 44\u00b0C on Tuesday and Wednesday. No heatwave warning has been issued yet. Relief, however, may be on the horizon, with rain forecast towards the end of the week, and the wet spell is expected to bring daytime temperatures to around 35\u00b0C-37\u00b0C by June 12 and 13, offering respite from the prevailing heat and humidity.On Sunday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.6 degree Celsius, two notches above normal, against 40 degree Celsius a day earlier. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.7 degree Celsius, season\u2019s normal against 26.4 degree Celsius a day earlier.\u201cA fresh western Disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan Region from 11th June. Rise in maximum temperatures by about 2\u00b0C during next 2 days, no large change during subsequent 2 days and fall by 4-6\u00b0C thereafter.
