<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNEW DELHI: To mark the 132nd foundation day, Punjab National Bank organised a second edition of the half-marathon 2026 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday. The event, themed ‘PNB Soldierathon 2026, Run For Soldiers,’ was held in association with the Indian Armed Forces to mark the bank’s 132nd Foundation Day and pay tribute to the heroes of Operation Sindoor. Speaking on the occasion, Mizoram Governor Gen VK Singh (Retd) noted that more than 27,000 people had gathered for the event. He emphasised that the Soldierathon was held under the Fit India Campaign to raise public awareness about the importance of staying fit and taking physical well-being seriously. “This event was organised in collaboration with Punjab National Bank. More than 27 thousand people have gathered… Soldierathon was held under the Fit India Campaign to create awareness among people that they need to stay fit, take care of their bodies… The more we spread this, the better it will be,” Singh told reporters. Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, and M. Nagaraju, Secretary of the Department of Financial Services (Ministry of Finance), also participated in the event. Earlier on March 15, the 65th edition of the Fit India Sundays on Cycle was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the nation in more than 5000 locations, uniting the country’s seas and mountains, deserts and forests with one single movement. More than 300 Fit India Champions and Ambassadors, and special dignitaries led the cycling event in locations that spread from Kokrajhar in Odisha to Badal in Punjab and Allepey down South. In Patna, the young and dynamic sports minister of Bihar, Shreyashi Singh, attended the Sundays on Cycle and led by example, according to a press release. The nodal event of the 65th edition took place in New Delhi, where more than 10,000 people participated. Delhi’s Connaught Place wore a festive feel that day as Fit India’s flagship campaign Sundays on Cycle was organised in collaboration with Raahgiri Foundation in what marked the return of Raahgiri Day.<\/div>\n
