The first-stage examination was held on January 7, 2024, and its result was announced on March 4, 2024.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>A total of 5,889 candidates cleared the first stage and were shortlisted for the second-stage examination. <!-- -->The second stage was conducted in Lucknow between June 28 and July 18, 2024, in two shifts.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>According to UPPSC, 4,240 candidates appeared for the second-stage test, which included Hindi shorthand and Hindi typing. The shorthand test carried 75 marks, while the typing test carried 25 marks.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>Under the recruitment rules mentioned in the advertisement, candidates were required to achieve a minimum Hindi shorthand speed of 80 words per minute. The commission said none of the candidates who appeared for the examination could achieve the prescribed speed.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"17\"\/>As a result, no candidate has been declared successful for the third stage of the selection process.
