<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nThe National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that candidates affected by the technical glitch during the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2026 on May 30 will be given another chance to take the examination.The agency said the re-examination will be conducted on June 6 and June 7 for affected candidates. Fresh admit cards have also been released and can be downloaded from the official CUET portal.In a post on X, the NTA said, “Updated Admit Cards are now available for affected CUET (UG) 2026 candidates. The revised examination dates are 06 and 07 June 2026. Candidates may download their admit cards from the official portal.”The decision comes days after a technical problem delayed the start of Shift 1 of the examination at several centres. According to the NTA, 3,765 candidates who left their examination centres because of the disruption will be allowed to reappear in the test through a one-time special opportunity.The issue was first reported by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is involved in conducting the examination. The NTA said a technical glitch at the company’s end delayed the commencement of the exam at some centres on May 30.After the problem was identified, the agency revised the schedule for the afternoon shift. Candidates were asked to report from 2.30 pm, while the examination began at 4 pm instead of the originally scheduled 3 pm. The NTA also assured candidates that full compensatory time would be provided so that no student would lose examination time.It later confirmed that candidates who completed biometric registration and were present at their examination centres but could not complete the test due to the glitch would be given another opportunity.CUET UG is conducted by the NTA for admission to undergraduate programmes offered by central, state and several private universities. Since its launch in 2022, the examination has become one of the largest entrance tests in the country.The exam has been conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode since 2025. According to the NTA, the CBT format was introduced to improve standardisation, efficiency and logistics in conducting the nationwide examination.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
