A manhunt for him was launched.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"5\"\/>Locals blocked the highway for over an hour to protest the deaths of the boy, Yash Ballal, and Aaditya Ballal, and alleged that dumpers illegally transport massive quantities of minor minerals at night. Vehicles piled up over a few kilometres towards Goa owing to the blockade. Locals also suspected the driver was drunk, but police have not confirmed it.
