This year\u2019s festivities coincide with the final days of the wider Eid celebration period.The event highlights the multicultural character of London\u2019s Muslim communities, with participation from Turkish, Middle Eastern, Palestinian, Malaysian, Indonesian, North African and South Asian groups, as well as non-Muslim visitors eager to join the celebrations.<\/p>\n Visitors can look forward to a packed programme of performances throughout the day. The main stage will feature appearances by the London Arab Orchestra, the London Turkish Association Dance Group and the Khan Brothers Qawwali Group.The schedule will also include live discussions, cultural presentations, calls to prayer and a range of interactive activities designed to highlight the traditions and heritage of Muslim communities from around the world.<\/p>\n A dedicated Family Zone will offer creative activities including lantern-making, headdress workshops, calligraphy sessions and stencil art.Children and families can also enjoy face painting, while live demonstrations from Muslim Girls Fence will give visitors the chance to learn basic fencing skills and engage with the sport.<\/p>\n Food lovers will be spoiled for choice with a wide variety of international cuisines available across the square.
