<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nNew Delhi: <\/span>In a push to decongest the thoroughfares between Delhi and other NCR cities, the Centre and Delhi govt will jointly undertake six major road projects, all of them designed in view of future traffic requirements, CM Rekha Gupta said on Thursday.Last week, Nitin Gadkari<\/a>, Union minister of road transport and highways, and Gupta held a review meeting in this regard.One of the approved plans is the Urban Extension Road-II Delhi-Dehradun Expressway Link. Set to be built at an estimated Rs 3,500 crore, the nearly 17-km-long six-lane corridor will connect the expressway with UER-II near Tronica City in Ghaziabad.Another proposed project is the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway Noida-Faridabad Connectivity Corridor. Spanning around 65 km and featuring six lanes, it is estimated to cost Rs 7,500 crore. \u201cIt will link Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, Delhi-Meerut Expressway, DND, Faridabad and Yamuna Expressway,\u201d the chief minister\u2019s office said. It is expected to improve connectivity for Loni, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Noida and Faridabad, while reducing congestion at Kalindi Kunj, Sarai Kale Khan and Outer Ring Road. Work on it is expected to commence by this Dec.The chief minister also highlighted a project linking the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra corridor with UER-II. \u201cTraffic from Delhi-Katra Expressway will gain direct access to Delhi, Gurgaon and IGI Airport<\/a> through UER-II and Dwarka Expressway<\/a>. Set to cost Rs 1,500 crore, work on the 17-km, six-lane corridor is set to begin by March 2027,\u201d Gupta said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
