Candidates can now choose the newly added cities while making corrections in their application forms.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"6\"\/>NTA has already opened the UGC NET June 2026 application correction window, and candidates can make changes in their forms till May 28, 2026.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"8\"\/>The UGC NET June 2026 examination will be conducted from June 22 to June 30 across the country in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2><keyword id=\"36548853\" type=\"General\" weightage=\"20\" keywordseo=\"UGC-NET-2026\" source=\"keywords\">UGC NET 2026<\/keyword>: Newly added exam cities<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/>The newly added exam cities are:<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh (AL03)<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>Kakching, Manipur (MN04)<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>Bishnupur, Manipur (MN05)<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"22\"\/>Cherrapunji, Meghalaya (MG02)<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"24\"\/>According to NTA, candidates from Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim can also choose exam cities available in neighbouring North-Eastern states through the correction facility.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"26\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>What changes can candidates make?<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"28\"\/>Candidates are allowed to edit the following details in their UGC NET 2026 application form:<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"30\"\/><\/p>\n<div class=\"cdatainfo modify_cdata_list_style id-r-component \" data-pos=\"31\">\n<ul>\n<li>Date of birth<\/li>\n<li>Gender<\/li>\n<li>Category<\/li>\n<li>Sub-category<\/li>\n<li>Examination city centre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"32\"\/>However, changes in mobile number, email address, photograph and signature will not be allowed.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"35\"\/><\/p>\n<p><h2>Two new subjects added this year<br \/><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"37\"\/>This year, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has added two new subjects, Forestry and Statistics, to the UGC NET subject list.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"39\"\/>The examination will now be conducted for 87 subjects.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"41\"\/>UGC NET is conducted twice every year, usually in June and December, to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to PhD programmes in Indian universities and colleges.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"43\"\/>The national-level examination is conducted by NTA on behalf of UGC.<span class=\"id-r-component br\"
