Delhi:<\/span> Delhi govt has approved renaming several metro stations, public landmarks and institutions across the capital to honour prominent personalities and strengthen local identity.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"3\"\/>The decisions were cleared by the State Names Authority (SNA), chaired by chief minister Rekha Gupta, with senior officials from the urban development department, <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/dmrc\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\">DMRC<\/a> and DDA present.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/>Britannia Chowk in Shakurpur will be renamed \u2018Ashwini Chopra (Minna) Chowk\u2019 after the noted journalist, while an under-construction hospital in Jwalapuri will be named \u2018Baba Ramdevji Maharaj Hospital\u2019 after the 14th-century spiritual guru.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"11\"\/>Among metro stations, Rohini West will be renamed \u2018Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital Metro Station\u2019, Rohini East will become \u2018Rohini Metro Station\u2019 for clearer identification, and Dwarka Metro Station will be renamed \u2018Dwarka-Kakrola\u2019.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"13\"\/>The SNA also approved naming the new sports complex in Begampur, Rohini Sector-33, as \u2018Atal Khel Parisar\u2019, with a statue of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to be installed there.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"16\"\/>Officials said the move aims to strengthen public memory and connect citizens, especially younger generations, with notable figures and places.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>\u201cHonouring those who contributed to public life remains a priority,
