<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\nMUMBAI: Ahead of Eid-ul-Adha celebrations, Mumbai Police on Wednesday confirmed that the ritual of goat sacrifice (Qurbani) at a housing society in Goregaon has been cancelled following a clash between two communities over the issue.Officials said the livestock will be removed from the society premises on Thursday morning to maintain law and order in the area.According to news agency ANI, tension prevailed at Satellite Gardens Phase 2 in the Gokuldham area as members of two communities confronted each other over the Qurbani ritual, with residents raising strong objections to the practice within the residential complex.Representing the Muslim side, residents claimed they had obtained permission from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to perform Qurbani in the society.
