Police have also added dowry death provisions against Ankur\u2019s parents. The incident was reported on Jan 23 at the couple\u2019s residence in Mohan Garden.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/>According to police, investigators recovered a dumbbell from the scene, which was allegedly used in the assault. <!-- -->Forensic analysis revealed fingerprints and bloodstains on the object, strengthening the case against the accused.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"12\"\/>Ankur was arrested soon after the incident and is currently in judicial custody. Police said the couple had frequent disputes in the period leading up to the crime, which escalated on the day of the incident.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"14\"\/>During interrogation, Ankur allegedly told police that an argument broke out after Kajal objected to him giving pocket money to his younger brother. \u201cHe stated that his wife argued over the issue. He tried to pacify her but failed. In a fit of rage, he picked up a dumbbell and struck her multiple times on the head,\u201d police said.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"18\"\/>Kajal succumbed to her injuries on Jan 27 after battling for life for several days.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"20\"\/>Police said Kajal had joined Delhi Police in 2022 and was later posted as a commando with the SWAT team of the Special Cell. In 2023, she married Ankur, a clerk with the ministry of defence posted at Delhi Cantt.
