Anita Advani revisited her deeply personal relationship with the late superstar Rajesh Khanna<\/a>, saying she holds \u201cno regrets\u201d and would \u201crepeat it again\u201d if given a chance. In a recent interaction, she spoke about their time together, his personality, and the emotional bond they shared.Calling it one of the most significant chapters of her life, Anita told Vickey Lalwani, \u201cNo, it was not a mistake. I would repeat it again. I have no regrets. I loved the man. Whatever time we had\u2014short or long\u2014I was happy with him.\u201dShe added that for her, happiness was never about material things. \u201cIt\u2019s not about money, it\u2019s about the person you wake up with. You can have everything, but if you don\u2019t have the person you want next to you, that\u2019s not happiness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u2018I still feel he is with me\u2019<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

Despite the passage of time, Anita revealed she continues to hold on to memories of the superstar. \u201cI have voice recordings. I still listen to them, especially on Karva Chauth. I still feel he is with me,\u201d she shared, adding that she even observed Karva Chauth for him every year.The couple would also mark special moments in their own way. \u201cWe didn\u2019t do anything big, but we used to have a small candlelight dinner at home,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u2018He was moody, but wonderful\u2019<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

Opening up about his personality, Anita described Khanna as both intense and affectionate. \u201cHe could be moody. If his mood was good, everything was fine. If not, even small things would turn into arguments,\u201d she admitted, adding that their relationship saw frequent disagreements.\u201cOnce or twice a week, we would fight\u2014over food, clothes, anything. Usually, his mood would change in the evening… after drinks,\u201d she said.She also spoke about his routine, revealing, \u201cHe would start drinking around 5:30 pm till about 8:30 or 9. But it wasn\u2019t just drinking\u2014we would talk, watch TV.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anita painted a vivid picture of Khanna\u2019s personal preferences\u2014right from his love for the colour orange to his strong opinions on style.\u201cHe loved orange. Everywhere\u2014office space, mattresses, pillows\u2014all orange. He even wanted the bungalow painted in a light orange shade,\u201d she recalled.He was also particular about how she dressed. \u201cHe liked me in churidars and skirts, not jeans. Even my hair\u2014he wanted it tied. If I came with open hair, he would say, \u2018Tie your hair first, then talk to me,\u2019\u201d she shared.The actor also enjoyed simple outings. \u201cWe used to go for ice cream almost every second day. He only liked chocolate\u2014nothing else,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

A relationship she would relive<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

Summing up her feelings, Anita reiterated that despite the ups and downs, the relationship remains one she cherishes deeply.\u201cI am a very loyal person. I was happy with him when I was with him. I would repeat it again,\u201d she said, underlining that for her, the emotional connection mattered more than anything else.<\/div>\n
