Indu, who voted in Mylapore, pointed to safety concerns. \u201cWhen I travel at night for work, I find many drunkards and stalkers on the road. Law and order needs to be strengthened and strict action must be taken,\u201d she said.Others expressed a desire for political change and better governance. \u201cWe need a change. I believe the new govt will perform better for the welfare of the people,\u201d Indu added. Bhavya, another young voter, stressed the value of participation, saying, \u201cEach and every vote counts.\u201dFor many, the act of voting itself marked a milestone. Sugirthan, a 19-year-old from MGR Nagar, said, \u201cI was nervous. But, I voted successfully in my second attempt.
