Infosys<\/a> has appointed Hindustan Unilever Ltd<\/a>\u2019s non-executive chairman Nitin Paranjpe as non-executive vice chairman of its board with immediate effect, PTI reported on Wednesday.\u201cThe Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Nitin Paranjpe as non-executive Vice Chairman of the Board with immediate effect,\u201d the company said in a statement.Paranjpe is also non-executive vice chairman of Heineken NV.Infosys said Paranjpe brings wide leadership experience, including his current roles as non-executive chairman of Hindustan Unilever Ltd and non-executive vice chairman of Heineken NV.\u201cWe are delighted to have Nitin in this position. His expertise has already made a significant impact on the Board, and we look forward to his continued leadership in this expanded role.\u201cI will continue as the Chairman of the Board as long as necessary, and there is no plan for a chairman transition,\u201d Infosys chairman Nandan Nilekani said.The company said that as vice chairman, Paranjpe will support the chairman in guiding the board and its strategic agenda.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
