Ram Dongre
Calling the occasion “sentimental”, Ackermann told us, “This is the sixth and last art-inresidence event. It is sentimental. Before starting this programme, I felt that Dilli has a very big art market, there are a lot of people willing to invest in art and at the same time, there are so many artists who don’t get the exposure.”Talking about Dongre, he added, “This artist is from Madhya Pradesh, he comes from a family that painted idols, and he is into contemporary art, so it is a marriage between old and the new.”

Main apni art aur nature ke madhyam se yahan aaya hoon: DongreSpeaking about showcasing his work at the Ambassador’s residence, Dongre said, “ Main toh gaon mein rehne wala aadmi hoon. Main toh apni art ke madhyam se yahan aaya hoon. Main nature ke madhyam se yahan aaya hoon , nature nahi hota toh main usko leke painting nahi banata.”Giving details about his artworks, he added, “Jo nature mein bigad raha hai, jo elements nature ke khatam hote ja rahe hain, woh main apne kaam mein dikhane ki koshish karta hoon. Aap meri painting dekhoge toh kuch kuch toota phoota dikh raha hai, bas wahi dikhane ki koshish rahi hai.”
