He opened up about the singer’s impact on the music industry: “Zubeen ki baat ki jaaye toh sahi mein he was something else and I feel unke jaise stardom maine nahi dekha hain.” (“Honestly, when we talk about Zubeen, he was truly something else, and I feel I have never seen stardom like his.”)

Following the drowning incident, Zubeen was rescued by local authorities and admitted to the ICU at a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, doctors were unable to save him. According to the autopsy report the cause of death was drowning while swimming near a Singapore island.
