Hisar: Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait on Monday demanded a crackdown on criminals in Haryana, questioning why the state police could not take action similar to that in Uttar Pradesh.“Like the Yogi govt, criminals should be dealt with firmly,” Tikait said at the mini-secretariat over the killing of dairy operator Jeevan Kundu in Surya Nagar. Jeevan was allegedly attacked by a group of around 10-12 youths on Aug 4 when he was taking cow dung on a trolley attached to his motorcycle. He died at a hospital.Hisar police said three accused have been arrested and 10 special teams formed to track down the remaining suspects. Police have also issued look out circulars against all wanted accused.SP Siddhant Jain said the case was being investigated impartially and all aspects, evidence and circumstances surrounding the incident were being examined.Police have provided a personal security officer to the victim’s family and deployed personnel outside their residence.
