Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ambitious period drama ‘Love & War’ is reportedly entering its final phase of production. After months of filming and several schedule adjustments, the team is now preparing to complete the remaining portions of the film.According to a report by Mid-day, the director will begin the final shooting schedule on Monday at Royal Palms in Goregaon. The makers are expected to complete the remaining shoot before the end of August. Once filming concludes, the project will move into its post-production stage ahead of its theatrical release next year.
Busy calendars create deadline
The report states that the production team is working against a tight schedule because the lead actors have upcoming professional commitments. Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal have reportedly reserved August for the concluding schedule.Ranbir Kapoor is expected to begin promotional activities for Ramayana: Part 1 by the middle of September. This has made it important for the remaining portions of Love & War to be completed within the month. Mid Day reports, “The delays have pushed Love & War further than originally planned. Everyone has blocked out August for this final leg; beginning September, the actors will move on to their next commitments.”
War sequences and songs remain
For the final schedule, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has reportedly prepared a detailed filming plan to maximise the availability of all three lead actors. The remaining shoot is expected to include two major war sequences along with two songs. The large-scale action portions are said to require extensive preparation before filming begins. According to the report, the production team has also planned rehearsals for the cast and supporting performers.The report further quoted, “The war scenes will involve approximately 50 stunt performers and 300-500 junior artistes. The production team has allocated 10 dedicated rehearsal days to choreograph the combat and crowd movement.”
